It’s that time of year when the temperatures are dropping. Even if you leave your pool uncovered and open, it’s too cold to get in and swim. However, if you have a spa, fall and winter is the best time to use them. One of my favorite things is getting in the hot spa when it is raining and cold outside in Atlanta. It’s such a great feeling.
Inground spas are a great addition to any backyard poolscape. They can add aesthetic appeal to your poolscape. Whether your spa has a spillway into your pool, is at the same height of your pool, or is a stand alone spa with a waterfall flowing into it, a spa can increase the overall aesthetics of your backyard. Plus, you are able to use the spa year round. A custom concrete spa can be designed with anywhere from 5-15 jets with one pump. You can add additional jets with multiple pumps. A custom spa can be designed to fit your overall landscape. They do not have to be a “cookie cutter” shape.
A custom concrete spa, allows you to heat it when you choose to use it. You do not have to maintain the temperature constantly. You just preheat it to the desired temperature. Depending on the water temperature, size of the spa, and heater size, this usually takes about 30 minutes.
