Best Time to Open Your Swimming Pool

Pool Companies in Atlanta

Spring is officially here and with the warming trend we have been having in Atlanta, you may find yourself daydreaming of swimming.  You may not want to wait to open your pool.  Since it has been consistently in the 70's for a few weeks, it may save you time, money, and hassle later, if you open your pool now.  Here are just a few of the reasons:

Cost Effective: With the warming temperatures and sunshine outside, algae will start to grow.  It is more cost effective to open your pool a little early and pay to run the equipment an extra month rather than deal with excessive algae in the future.  The average cost of running the equipment an extra month is about $60, which is far less than paying for a lot of chemicals later.  It will also save you quite a bit of time in the long run.

Pollen Season:  As we all know, the pollen will soon arrive in the Atlanta area.  If your pool is not open and the filter system running, your pool will likely turn into a nasty yellow coated mess.  It makes more sense to avoid this and get a head start on the season.  Run your filter and the skimmers will eliminate the pollen from collecting on the surface.

Spring Break Entertainment: Spring Break is coming and the kids will be so excited to swim in April.  I recall my daughter and her friends swimming in our pool last Spring Break, whcih was the first week in April.  Of course, I had to turn the heater on so the water temperature was warm enough becasue the air was still cold at night in spite of the daytime 80 degree temperatures.

Great Ambiance: These warmer temperatures may have put you in the mood to have a cook out.  It would be much more enjoyable to be seated around a clean pool with your friends and family than a dirty pool.
